Ice Cendol Pulut.

My friend told me if you go to Seremban in West Malaysia do drop by Haji Shariff's Cendol,the famous from a push cart street vendor now operate to a big and more space shop.They say Hj Shariff serves several cendol recipes such as cendol kacang,jagung,bandung and very popular cendol pulut.Back to my place Kota Samarahan (picture above),I saw this small street vendor selling cendol pulut.Cendol pulut is just a glutinous rice(pulut) with cendol and thick creamy santan,gula malaka & small ice cube.If you are in Kota Samarahan drop me a note,I'll give you a cendol pulut treat.

Mobile Phone.

I like taking picture of people talking on phones.Many years ago we did not carry our phone with us where ever we go,now that most everyone carries phone with them.I won't hesitate to snap a picture of someone making an expression while talking on their phone.

Ayam Penyet.

This is Nasi Ayam Penyet.It's an Indonesian dish or Indonesia origin cuisine.It is very popular among our West Malaysian friends who visited Kuching and the word is 'Must Try'.

For me basically,its just a white rice with chicken but the spiciness of the sauce or sambal in malay that taste the difference.The food didn't sound delicious to me(especially at this golden age )..you know what i mean don't you ? hahaha..I love vegetable & fruits.Anyway, do drop by and try for yourself ..don't be surprise you will say ' I love the sambal (the sauce) '.By the way you also can view my daughter blog about this 'Ayam Penyet' click HERE

Jungle Fruit in Sarawak.

Asam Embang(Mangiferafoetida) is one of the indigenous fruit in Sarawak jungle.It's yellow meat taste souring sweet.

Politic -SALCRA Building.

By its look and the artist's impression of the complex, the cost of constructing the complex must be in the millions of ringgit. The question is, from where the fund to build the complex had come from? If it has come from the land of the participants, are the participants in the know? Have they no say in the way income generated from their land would be used?

The above remark is by one unhappy public about this buidling .Maybe this is just a political talk in Sarawak.

By the way, Salcra's building currently constructed at Kota Semarahan is built at the expense of NCR land owners. Landowner should at this point time pursue to file for Writ of Seizure and Sale over the building for non-payment and/or breach of contract as dividends pay-out. How's that sound...?

To me beside UNIMAS administration building this SALCRA building consider as the tallest building in Kota Semarahan.

Kuching's Shopping Mall Generation.

Yesterday I talk about construction workers at work in one of the shopping mall which is still under construction.To-day let us see Kuching's shopping mall generation.With good economy and influence of globalisation,a new generation is emerging in Kuching.People are more fashion conscious,they wear branded cloths,almost everyone have mobile phones,go to clubs and have a completely new attitude that come across in the way they talk and behave.

A Day with Construction Workers.

This is another photo of our shopping mall building under construction in Kuching City.You can see several construction workers in the warm February sun.Many construction workers are migrant construction labour from Indonesia.They are hard working people.
