Malaysia Day 16 September......

Malaysia Day 16th September,2010.
This year will see the first year of another National Holiday called Malaysia Day which will be celebrated on September 16 annually.This day commemorates Sabah and Sarawak joining Peninsular Malaysia as a nation of Malaysia.
The city of Kuching will host the first state level Malaysia Day celebration at Stadium Perpaduan(Indoor Stadium) on Sept 16.

Themed ‘1Malaysia: Menjana Transformasi’, hundreds of participants will turn up in traditional costumes in the spirit of unity and national integration.

MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA! I heard this on 31August2009 as Malaysian is celebrating National Day last Monday.

There was a time when I see 9cars out of 10 ,flying the Malaysian flags,90 house out of 100 houses,flying Malaysian flags during Merdeka Day celebration.But I'm sad this day. Now,all I can see is 1 car out of 100 car,flying the flag.I can see that all over Kuching City the commercial centre,not everyone fly the National flags.I only hope....none of my friends approach me and say "What's Up...to 1Malaysia and Fly Jalur Gemilang campange by the government.

Before 31 August 2009 I manage to pump petrol RON95 at the price of Rm1.75 per litter and on 01 Sep 2009 the day after Malaysia celebrating Merdeka Day petrol RON95 the prize increase by 5 cents.So this is become the talk of the town to-day.Merdeka gift to Malaysian.

"Most motorists here when met were wondering if indeed RON95 has special feature other than its higher price tag of Rm1.80 per litter"

They say most of the petrol station all over Kuching now stop selling RON97(Super).I'm not sure of its effects on my car's performance at the moment,because it is too early,but I'm willing to give it a try since I'm driving small compact car.Maybe I would purchase RON95 now that the price of RON97 (super) had gone up by 25cents from Rm1.80 to Rm2.05 per litter.Beside the prize factor I believe that there is no big quality difference between RON95 and RON97.

Look here somebody is not happy with the construction of petrol station near to their housing estate.

I am a Malaysian so let's talk about the flag of Malaysia,also known as the Jalur Gemilang (stripes of glory).It comprises a field of 14 alternating red and white stripes along the fly.The blue canton bearing crescent and a 14 point star known as federal star.

The 14 stripes,of equal width represent of the 13 members state(pic above).In conjunction with the 52nd Independence celebration this coming 31 August 2009.The fly Malaysia flag campaign was launch by our Prime Minister on 12th August 2009.As such,he wished to see every houses,shop,commercial and government building and vehicle to fly the national flag,Jalur Gemilang.

I love my country,there's no doubt about that.Of course,cynics will ask me "what's that there to love about this country?your government is one of the most blah..blah.blah and tha list goes on..(PKR,BN,DAP,PAS) for me asking me for the reason behind my love for my country is as good as asking me why I love my family.

For me,Merdeka aka National Day is not a political event.I am reminded,M E R D E K A day,as I sing the National Athem that what I have gotten is the result of the blood,soil of my forefathers and while contemplating the past,muse on the limitless possibilities of the future.

So this day 51 years past let us celebrate MERDEKA as one people.one nation and one Malaysia

There like no Merdeka feeling this year ?
There are few flag here and there,but it feels to me like Malaysian is not really celebrating our 51st Birthday this year.
What a dissapoinment or perhap the government is so concerned about last permatang pauh and 2009 budjet today (Friday by Pak Lah).So much so...our 51 Merdeka has lost its important.
Merdeka count down ......Well I don't know is its going to be grand event this year, just watch and see.
