Sibu Town-Dolphins vs Swan.

P3154690

Recently I walked onto Sibu Town and I see this shiny stainless dolphins sculpture opposite to Sibu central market. The existence of dolphins certainly brought my attention because all this year local council keep promoting swan mascot as Sibu Town landmark.Anyway ,the existence of this Swan sculpture had added more color to the swan town,SIBU.

Perhaps the symbol of Dolphins bring good luck.

Ayam Penyet.

Mall

Photo credit to my daughter..taken with her Lumix LX3.

This is Nasi Ayam Penyet. It's an Indonesian dish or Indonesia origin cuisine. It is very popular among our West Malaysian friends who visited Kuching and the word is 'Must Try'.

For me basically, its just a white rice with chicken but the spiciness of the sauce or sambal in malay that taste the difference. The food didn't sound delicious to me(especially at this golden age )..you know what i mean don't you ? hahaha..I love vegetable & fruits.Anyway, do drop by and try for yourself ..don't be surprise you will say ' I love the sambal (the sauce) '.By the way you also can view my daughter blog about this 'Ayam Penyet' click HERE

My World Tuesday-Bako National Park.

mwtblack

More tour to other part of the World

HERE

May be one day you visit Sarawak & one place that you must put on your trip list is Bako National Park.

The journey to the Bako National Park starts with a half hour boat ride from Kampung Bako, picture below.

Bakko

Lying 37 kilometres northeast of Kuching City is Bako, Sarawak's oldest national park. Often underestimated by travellers, this is actually one of Asia's most perfect nature parks with a wild shoreline of mangrove swamp and a hinterland of kerangas bush bustling with proboscis monkeys and birdlife.
The journey to the national park starts with a half hour boat ride from Kampung Bako, a picturesque fishing village some 45 minutes by road from Kuching, to the park's headquarters at Telok Assam. Along the way, you will see numerous wooden houses on stilts from riverside villages and fishermen tending to their fish traps. On a clear day, you may even catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Santubong on the distant horizon.

MyWorld Tuesday-Sibu Town Street Scene.

mwtblack

To visit other WORLD kindly go to this site

MYWORLD-TUESDAY

P4110189

The best way to go around Sibu Town is by foot.I mean you don't have to worry about looking for parking lot for your car.

P4110209-horz

Most of the street in Sibu Town are one way streets. It is turning round and round to find your destination. They say, driving in Sibu require some skillful driving experience & technique and you have to plane ahead to get to point A to your destination B.Some say maybe your are a lucky driver if you can drive at 90 or 80KM/hr on the Sibu narrow and crappy road.

P4110076-horz

There are so many cars and motorcycle in Sibu, especially during peak hours and nobody seem to obey the street rules. When nobody obey the rules, obviously the car owner will park their car everywhere and further more most of the street in Sibu the cars are park at both side of narrow road.

So Drive Carefully.

My skywatch photo for this Friday is The Old Court building in Kuching. The old Courthouse building forms the link between Carpenter Street and India Street, and is well worth a quick stroll as you re-live the faded colonial splendour (now restored and modernised). The tourist travel centre is in the building.

Flier's -The Experience.

Quick turn round.....aircraft refueling, loading of cargo and passengers boarding all at the same time.

Take off......Wow !!! my flight KUL-KCH it was ahead of schedule, some 20 mins ahead.
Towing of aircraft.

enjoy the skyscape .
Aircraft parking bay.

LCCT
There was not many passengers onboard on my flight KUL-KCH maybe 40% occupancy.
Kuching International Airport(KIA)
The earth may be dappled with puffs of fine weather cumulus.
Budget travellers like me and I don't expect too much about the inflight services. Most often I get what I pay for.Low cost no frills carrier.
Th seat are pretty cramp for a tall or big size person..Believe it or not Airline charging passengers by weight..Well i suppose this is because of fuel price...the heavier the aircraft its burn more fuel.I hope our two avaition business AirAsia & Malaysia Airline did not apply this rule.Hey!!!!so here is the incentive for fat people to lose weight and I suppose if we are fat we will be charge more than maybe if we are skinny then we will get more discounted airfare.Well at least it give some incentive to stay slim.
Next people hope Airsia can issue seat numbers instead of following the present policy of free seating which causes lots of anxiety to passengers.People start to queue up sometime even an hour before the plane arrives. This is because when few people start queuing up,others follow and even jump queue. So if you wanted to become VVIP of the day perhap you pay Rm10.00 for express boarding. If seat numbers are allocated then passengers will not rush.
I think this system is unique or perhap some people says this is more of nuisance than a services.
Well,my flight to KCH from KUL is about 1 hour and 40 mins,no matter what Airline company I choose to fly with in this case AirAsia and MalaysiaAirline are the two choices to fly from KL to Kuching and vice versa.
