F1 Fever...........
While our capital city of Malaysia ,KUALA LUMPUR is promoting F1 in Sepang and perhaps it's F1 fever now in Malaysia. So what choice do Kuching people have?
Well, GO-KART race is just fine & it's fun too .I still remember one state minister promise the peoples and to the youth that the government is going to build a international standard motor race circuit in Kuching .So peoples just forget it ...so what his next promise....?
Because I have been preoccupied lately taking care of a family member I have not been able to get out and take as many photos as I would like, so today I have to feature a photo from my last walk about in Kuching City.
Practice my panning shoot ..with slow shutter speed & its work alright to me but I don't know what my photography friends say.
I do not use a lot of Photoshop manipulations, One reason is I have not learned how to do it. I do try things every now and then. I do color adjust, sometimes crop, saturate if needed, use curves and sharpen. I will take out some detracting things that just could not be helped to keep out of my shot. That does not happen that much but sometimes it is just unavoidable. Do you think all the pictures that you see in magazines, on gallery walls have not had things cleaned up in them ???.
This Go-Kart maybe to old for me to drive but not to old for me to try as sport photographer :)
Thank You.

Driving Sarawak Countryside.
Sarikei is a town probably the fifth biggest town after Kuching,Miri,Sibu and Bintulu. The landmark of Sarikei Town is Pineapple.
Betong, Sarawak
Betong is a town and administrative district of the Betong Division in Sarawak, Malaysia, lying in the Saribas area. It was formerly placed under the district of Sri Aman.
I reach Sibu Lanang Bridge at about 12:00 noon.
Who said Sibu doesn't have toll???I need to pay Rm3.00 one trip for small car to use this 1.22km Sibu Lanang Road Bridge.
It was a tiring journey from Kuching to Sibu.I drive my compact 850cc car and the driving started at about 6:00 am .The weather was fine and cloudy giving me wonderful scenery of the country side and rural mountain area of Sarawak. From Kuching to Sibu is about 445 KM and the only dual carriage way(as seen in the above photo)is from Kuching to Serian and Serian all the way to Sibu is single carriage way.
Even thou tiring a trip by land sure giving me a valuable experience in knowing Sarawak(my own place)better. The culture, lifestyle and geographical. Each small town I passed introduce me to the different lifestyle and culture of local people of Sarawak and the town itself.
A few more photos that I snap during my trip to Sibu will be publish on my next post.

So I Am Driving to Sebuyau.
Kota Semarahan ferry point.
I missed a ferry at Kota Semarahan ferry point and the operator said stop due to tide. The alternative way is go via road to UITM.If you use this ferry across AsaJaya road you save time by one hour drive or 25 kilo meter.
OnBoard a ferry of Sungai Buloh ferry point.
This is a ferry I took across the Sadong River to Sebuyau. It's open ended so a ferry need not to turn around .This is not a free ride..vehicle need to pay Rm1.00 and the people free.
Feeling hungry while waiting for ferry...this kampong shop sale variety of cold and hot drink, cucur pisang and mee goreng.
Motorist are waiting for a ferry at Sg Buloh ferry point.During peak season it is comman for motorist to wait for ferry for at least two hours (long Q).
Sungai Buloh Ferry point.
View taken while onboard a ferry.
Ferry crossing Batang Sadong River.
Driving the coastal road is tireing ,why not rest for a while and look for fresh pineapple .AsaJaya and Kota Semarahan is popular for its pineapple.
Advertise onbehalf of Tuan Haji in Sebuyau...maybe someone out there wish to spend a night or two in Sebuyau town ..just drop by this little cottage or enjoy your fresh sea food at Tuan Haji restaurant but subject to available of fresh stock from nearby sea.
Sebuyau Malay fishing village.
Sampan crossing to Malay fishing village.
That 's why I did not find any fresh fish in the Sebuyau market to-day..our fisherman is having day off this Sunday.
Driving all the way ....this is what you see green
The Coastal Road to Sebuyau. The motor accident on the uptrend at Sub-urban areas such as coastal road (picture above) have not gone unnoticed. The number of accident cases so far this year has increased by 30 cases from the corresponding period in 2007(sources from The Borneo Post). So who's to blame the driver, rider or the road condition???????.
I'm sure the government is aware of the poor TV reception in the rural areas,as the pertinent issue has been brought up several time(in the state legislative assembly)many times.....but the people of Sebuyau solve the problem by their own...why wait for government, just pay less than Rm500.00 to install satelite dish(picture above) and you are ready to swith to the clearer reception sourced from Indonesia,Thailand and China TV.
After a long drive with compact car (850cc) my wife and I finally arrived the destination safely to small town Sebuyau.
I kinda like this logo .perhap the oldest in Sarawak.Just for your information there is no petrol station found all the way from the ferry point of Semarahan River to Sebuyau however if you ride a motor bike or scotter and you are out of fuel don't worry every road side village shop is saleing the petrol ...just bear in mind that the price per litter will be higher .
