Letter 'S" is for STORM or ThunderSTORM.
A sudden STORM wreaked havoc on motorist yesterday (26/05/2209) afternoon as strong winds in some part of Kuching City brought down few trees(pic above).
I underestimated mother nature yesterday by mentioning it was just thundershower,in actual fact it was a heavy thunderstorm.

PISANG literally meaning BANANAS in MALAY or in MALAYSIA.
PISANG is healthy fruits.

After serve me more than 2 years ,finally my Olympus E-410 has to be put to rest.Now I wish to have new DLSR body as I already have my wonderful Zuiko lenses.At first I'm juggling between E-30 and E620 but I will go for E-620 and I think it meet my priority which is mobility and suit my budget.The E-620 is as big as my E-410 as such it give me a total mobility as I don't like carry heavy photographic equipment.I can fit all these into my Lowepro camera bag.

Melanau is the earliest inhabitants in Sibu,Sarawak and staying at the Melanau long house at Kampung Nangka before 1953.The second ethnic group to settle in Sibu is Malay community,they settled at along banks of the Rajang river and Igan river at Kampung Datu,Kampung Hilir and Kampung Nangka.

Fort Margherita
Fort Margherita is a fort perched on a hill overlooking the Sarawak River. It was named after the wife of Charles Brooke, Ranne Margaret. Built in 1879, this fort’s primary function is to protect Kuching from invasions from the River.

Sarawak my homeland is a land of diverse ETHNIC identities.There are 27 ethnic groups in Sarawak besides the Malays,Melanaus,Chinese and small minority of Indians.Among the ethnic groups it is the Ibans,Kayans,Kenyahs,Kelabits and Dayaks.
My two pictures above show some 27 ethnic groups wearing their traditional costume.

Malay Wedding.A Malay wedding ceremony spreads over two days, beginning with the akad nikah ceremony. The groom signs the marriage contract and agrees to provide the bride with a mas kahwin(dowry). After that, their hands are dyed with henna during the berinai besar ceremony. The bride's hair is also trimmed or her eyebrows shaped by a beautician known as the mak andam.
The second day, the groom is accompanied by friends, relatives, musicians and bunga manggar (palm blossom) carriers to the bride's house where they are usually greeted with the sprinkling of yellow rice and scented water.
Sometimes, the penca silat or the traditional Malay sword dance is performed. To add gaiety to the joyful affair, the groom and his party are required to overcome humorous obstacles before being allowed to go in.
