SKYWATCH-FRIDAYThis new gigantic structure that is still in development and nearly complete is the State-of-art,Dewan Undangan Negeri(DUN) of Sarawak.
Oh my! oh my!!!..the building cost almost Rm300 millions or more.No one are allowed to enter at this moment and I was told that the wall interior are design by expert foreigners from Uzbekistan.Let me guess ....maybe it look alike the spaceship ?.They mentioned the building to be the highest in Sarawak and the most beautiful landmark of Kuching City.Sarawak politician will say the new building signifies the progress and development of Sarawak in Malaysia for 45 years. Most public might say it is a waste of money by spending millions just to have new & modernly equipped DUN building.I say will it be an icon of waste to my State? I really hopes that the Sarawakian tax payer and zakat payer monies will be used efficiently and transparent .

SIBU SUNSET.
10,000 brochures to remind tourists about Visit Sibu Year
SIBU: Datuk Tiong Thai King, chairman of Sibu Municipal Council said they would distribute 10,000 brochures through Sarawak Tourism Board, hotels and tour agents to remind tourists about Visit Sibu Year 2009.
He said that 18 events slotted for this year were contained in the brochure, and called on the local community to come together to play a role.
“We may not have beautiful beaches and scenic mountains, but we have an extremely rich ethnic history, cultures, traditions and a cohesive community spirit to make the event an unforgettable one for tourists.”
He said the mighty Rejang River, the longest in the country, had vast potential in cultural and eco-tourism yet to be tapped.
“We are truly excited with the launch of Pandaw Cruise on July 1. This will make our dream to have a cruise on Rejang River come true.”
He said when Pandaw Cruise was launched earlier this year, it initially raised sceptical views, but booking was now so overwhelming.
Tiong also regarded the tourism event an opportunity to boost the local economy.
He said it would create spin-offs to benefit sectors like hotel, transportation, logistics and eateries.
On the role of the people, he said their hospitality, smiles and their bit in keeping the town clean were all simple gestures to contribute towards success.

Please do not throw rubbish into the rivers, our river is beautiful,it is our pride and it is our duty to keep it clean.
Look at the blue sky beautiful isn't it..!!!but look at the river,to be honest Sarawak River has nothing to brag about. The river is not that huge and the water cleanliness has always been an issue. You can see the two council workers trying their very best to keep the river free from rubbish.

The main reception/protocol block and the banquet block are the formal guest areas and are open to the public for guided tours. The residence block is a self-contained private home for the Prime Minister and his family.
While Malay and Islamic design idioms dominate the architecture of Seri Perdana, the building also incorporates several western and contemporary elements to reflect a universal outlook.
The building also makes extensive use of openings which offer panoramic views of the city. Guests are rewarded with attractively landscaped grounds which are divided into seven zones, each with its own characteristics based on its size and function.
Architecturally, Putrajaya will be an indigenous city with a modern look. Planned to the most minute detail, this intelligent garden city will enhance the goal of the nation in nurturing a caring and progressive society. Putrajaya promises a comfortable and quality lifestyle for its residents. Lush greenery, botanical gardens and parks are spread across landscapes enhanced by large bodies of water and wetlands. Residential areas are supported by commercial hubs and public amenities that are planned and integrated for an ideal "live-work" environment.

I took the above picture when i was in Sibu Town last week end.The picture of Sungai Merah(Red River) Heritage Walk.
Straddling the sungai merah(red river),this heritage walk is a picturesque spot and perfect for your snapshot.According to the history this is where the first Chinese began their affinity with Sibu.If you're lucky enough you will be able to watch the "miracle"where the river water will turn either black or yellow.I was there when the water is black but the reflection of the blue sky make it not visible in this picture but it not a miracle it's the high and low water tide of the river make a water colour change.
