We have to peeled off sugar cane bark before the cane rolled through a roller machine and produce sugar cane juices or air tebu in Malay.

That job builds "character" and work ethic. It reminds me of a German expression > "Viel Arbeit, wenig Geld!" (a lot of work, little money)
