To-day is the fifth day of Ramadhan .I would wish a happy Ramadhan al-Mubarak to all my friends.

Surely one can't ignore the one event that goes along with this month Ramadhan in Malaysia. The Ramadhan Bazaar which sale and offer many kinds of FOOD and some event call its Ramadhan Food. Some Muslim in Malaysia goes topsy-turvy in month of Ramadhan. The entire month of Ramadhan revolves around FOOD.They spend the entire day planning, cooking, shopping and thinking about only FOOD,instead of concentrating on Ibaadah(perform religious obligations). All they can think is FOOD.So much so that they turn the month of "FASTING" into the month of "FEASTING".

Some are missing the purpose of FASTING,and thus increase in their greed and desires instead of leaning to control them.It is also a kind of waste and extravagance and we should think of the suffering of the poor and hungry in some parts of the world.

May GOD bless you all and Salam Satu Malaysia to all Malaysian.Thank You.

I don't visit the food bazaar here, because my family always prefer home-cooked meals. I make sure there's just enough food to prevent wastage and the fares are always simple .
Wishing you Ramadhan mubarak.

I always look forward to the Ramadhan bazaar. There is so much variety and my favourite is lemang with rendang. Selamat berpuasa, Uncleawang.

I like how you described it, Awang: "So much so that they turn the month of "FASTING" into the month of "FEASTING".

I think it happens here too.

Selamat berpuasa Ramadhan.

Salam

Hi from a Sarawak born person.

I like your idea about fasting. It wasn't like this when I was living in Sibu thirty years ago.

Like the sugar cane picture. there is a rumour email about sugar cane if left vertical on the floor, will suck up the chemicals and make people sick. Did you hear about it?

Cheers,

Ann

Happy malaysia day.
