They Call This Human Interest.

Photography had never been as flourished as it is now in digital era. Most people I know, they carry their own DSLR camera, and I found it really interesting. We are all photographer in this age of time, telephone becomes mobile, mobile becomes camera-phone, camera phone becomes smart-camera-phone where image can be processed, printed and shared to community directly from it. Everyone carries camera nowadays, everyone is a photographer.First thing first, in my early days I was a little bit confused in getting differences among many terms:  journalistic photography, human interest photography and street photography. They are almost the same yet have a slightly different approach.

Human Interest Photography.
To photograph human activity, their interest, social lives, theme, story etc. A direct derivative from journalistic photography. The main purpose of this type of photography is to capture human activity. It is more into their social life than anything artistic or journalistic. To emphasize the HUMAN BEHAVIOR, their interaction with other human, with  nature and with their surrounding etc. It is all about human life, their theme, agenda, an idea of story and we make it extraordinary to show it  to the world.

Below are example of my human interest photography:

In spite of his old age he still work very hard to meet his daily needs. They call him 'The Gas Man' or 'The Iron Man'
 The Street Magician.
 The Fisher Man.
 The Delivery Man..

Give Life to Street Photography.

Street photography is indeed an interesting field. There are so many things that could be seen there. Different kinds of people roam around the streets even on ordinary days. These people of different traits are potential subjects for photography. Aside from people, other things can also be interesting like some buildings, street art and others. Animals can also be a good subject for street photography. They can also tell a unique story through their actions. Real life moment are what one can see for this type of photography and it is very much appreciated by many people.
It can truly be very exciting and full of fun when street photography is being done. So, if you want to venture into this field just google 'Street Photography' read and view what street photographer have done.

The following images were taken with the Olympus E-620 fitted with the Zuiko Digital 70-300mm lens. The E-620 was set to Large Fine JPEG quality, Auto White Balance, ESP metering and the Natural Picture Mode with Normal Gradation; Noise Reduction and the Noise Filter were set to their ON and STD settings respectively. In-camera Image Stabilisation was enabled for all these handheld shots.
 Aperture mode 1/2000s f 8.0 ISO 200 FL 70.0mm
 'Pinhole' art filter
 'Grainy film' art filter.

The Olympus camera allows you to apply art filters to your photos after you take them or even as you are taking them. These art filters are a way to adjust your image without having to learn or use a complex editing software.

Sunday Market @ Medan Niaga Satok.

I think you have view my post on LAST DAY of SUNDAY MARKET in SATOK and this morning I went to shop at new Sunday market in Medan Niaga Satok in Petra Jaya,Kuching. The medan niaga satok in fact open to public two weeks ago but the Sunday market just started this weekend. The new location is very clean ,perhaps new place but I hope the vendors will maintain the cleanese of the place.I did not know whether there is a public transport to this place.I did not see any bus stop or any taxi stand around.Of course, during the weekend there's always a traffic congested but over all I find this new market is user friendly..below a set of photograph that I shoot this morning in Medan Niaga Satok.

Next week perhaps I try night shooting in this Medan Niaga .
