I must apologize for not updating my entry in my blog.I miss my Sky Watch-Friday and Photo Hunter entry but I have been busy with few things lately.Well,I have a whole bunch of images in my hard disk that I have yet to blog about but anyway let me give you a preview of my revisited to the old part of Kuching City.

The Electra House is the oldest shopping complex in the city and it is the favourite shopping mall for the people from urban district.The taxi,Van and buses is just a walking distance from the complex. Look at the family in the picture,they are looking for the hire van to go back to the village and the background is the Electra House shopping complex.

I am amaze by this woman entrepreneur who is one of the few vendor in the electra house demonstrate her product to her customer.She is selling herbal product which is good for our eye sight.

Favourite hangout for local resident while waiting for friends.This place used to be a eating out place and soon to be demolish to give way for new city development.

It was totally a wet day in Kuching.Not just to-day the before that,it was raining too.It was raining almost everyday.Can't really take much picture outdoor.it's trouble some bringing around our DLSR at time like this.

This is how Langsat fruits are sale in Kuching.They are everywhere and every coner of Kuching street.Most of the Langsat in Kuching are imported langsat from Kalimantan Barat,Indonesia.
Langsat is local fruits of Sarawak .

Langsat fruits are ovoid, roundish orbs around five centimeters in diameter, usually found in clusters of two to thirty fruits. Each round fruit is covered by yellowish, thick, leathery skin. Underneath the skin, the fruit is divided into five or six slices of translucent, juicy flesh. The flesh is slightly acidic in taste, although ripe specimens are sweeter. Green, seeds are present in around half of the segments, usually taking up a small portion of the segment although some seeds take up the entire segment's volume. In contrast with the sweet-sour flavor of the fruit's flesh, the seeds are extremely bitter.The sweet juicy flesh contains sucrose, saccharose, fructose and glucose.

So this is a special post because all the photos are shot around this area.

I was pretty lucky at that time because the weather was bright and sunny.

Before I go to Kuching City centre,i went to civic centre view point to have a eye bird

So what would be the best to do on this weekend snapshot and since this is a school holiday session in Malaysia .Well,thats of cos photo shooting!!!!.I went to the Malaysia-China Friendship Garden & Park situated not far from the elite housing estate.The enterance(pic #1)also has an arch with futuristic design based on Sarawak ethnic architecture.

The main attraction of the park is the stature of Admiral Zheng Ho.The stature can be seen miles away and the stature stand on a ship like platform.
The Malaysia-China Friendship Park at Jalan Song, Kuching is undoubtly one of the most picturesque parks in the State.Costing RM12-million to build, the park commemorates 30 years of diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China. The seven-acre-park is a symbol of bond and appreaciation of cultural differences between the two nations.

The China park area incorporates the styles of Yunnan province with a Chinese gateway, friendship memorial tea pavolion, zig-zag bridge, Beijing and Kunming pavilions, wishing well and a 20-foot statue of Admiral Zheng He(or better known to Malaysian s as Laksamana Cheng Ho), admidst elegant landscaping of Chinese flora, a water lily pond, man-made lake, walking tracks and an open plaza for community activities.In the Malaysia park area, there are elegant depictions of Malaysia's rich multicultural heritage and diversity particularly that of Sarawak

This is a very unique hot spring to experience.The Panchor hot springs and is accesed from the Kuching-Serian road that is 48KM from Kuching City.The spring is managed by the local community and open at weekend.The admission is Rm3.00 and children is free.

The Panchor hot spring is as natural as you get them,undeveloped and in the forest surrounded by palm trees.

The panchor hotspring are said to be very good for the body,healing aches , pains,skin problem .

Simply to wind down and relax.

When water seeps into underground hot rocks where it can be heated to boiling point then flow back to the Earth’s surface. At present there are 79 confirmed geothermal manifestation areas (61 in Peninsular of Malaysia, 8 in Sarawak and 10 in Sabah). There are numerous other thermal areas reported especially within the remote vicinities of Sabah and Sarawak, however, these occurrences are yet to be ascertained due to their inaccessibility.”

Serian Town is about 60 kilometer from Kuching City.This day most people go to Serian Town is looking for fresh pond fish and Durian fruits.Serian Town will be crowded during weekend as people from nearby village will be flocking in this town for shopping and selling jungle product and local fruits.If you are loking for nature you can visit Rancan Pool just few minutes drive from Serian.
