The first week of the year 2008 at Satok Sunday market.Business as usual with cramped and crowded of Kuchingites and tourist.This is the place that visitors to Kuching should go and spend few hours at Sunday market which besides selling the usual markets produce may have antique on sale.A place for unusual herbs,fruits,vegetables,plants,flowers such as orchid and also pets for sale.While looking for subject to focus at Sunday market I come across cooking oil on display and what suprise me is that the price is so much increase from Rm2.90(old price)Rm3.70(new price) per one Kilograme.So now I have to learn Japanese cooking since Japanese way of cooking use less cooking oil .So what to cook,now let me introduce you guys with our Sarawak vegetable and some exotic fruits namely ENGKALAK,SAYUR KELADI & TERONG EMAS (Terong Asam or Iban).Kuching is very popular with her Terubok Masin and is widely sold at Sunday Market and so delecious if cook with terung assam (masak assam pedas cili padi ikan terubok masin with terong assam).Not forgetting for those who love flowers Sunday market is place to look for variety of orcids,roses,colourfull cactus and imported plants.Beside enjoying your shop till drop we can also listen to the music of our special entertainer from Kuching Blind Center and please make a donation with generously.So your next visit don't forget to put Kuching Sunday Market on your list.
