Kodak film is not dead: rejoice!

My kodak film collection.
Great news guys! Kodak confirmed that they’re selling only sales divisions. That means Kodak will still produce film, it will just be branded differently.
Below a random scattering of images that I shoot with Kodak Color 200.

Roll On Film.

My Olympus OM-10.
A survey carried out that of 9,200 professional US photographers,no fewer than 75% were still using film.Even more surprisingly,two-thirds of those intend to carry on loading up with the light-sensitive plastic.
According to the survey, more than two-thirds of pro-photographers prefer the results of film to those of digital for certain applications. These include film's superiority in capturing more information on medium and large format films.(48 per cent):creating a traditional photographic look (48 per cent);capturing shadow and highlighting details (45 per cent);the wide exposure latitude of film (42 per cent); and archival storage (38 per cent).
Below are set of my black & white film photography from my Olympus OM-10 & loaded with B&W Ilford film 400.

What do you think ? Are you surprised by this ? Is there any point in going back to film? ....

My Vintage Camera & I: Film On Streets.

Olympus OM10.
It seems like there is always the issue that when we shot with film camera on this digital age. I just to share  my film experiences...film or digital and if i really have to say, i will write it down here...after all it's just a hobby.I do collect a few junk of film camera & It's really personal .Just love to see them 'Film is not Dead'.So here's just my little personal thoughts, looking at the images from it has more feel. With the under-saturated colors, rough texture, grains and the imperfection of the unknown images, it just sum up to a perfect experience and journey for the images.
Personally, the digital camera complements my film cameras, and they both have their uses. As they say, these are just tools. Use whichever that helps you achieve your vision better.
Below is few set of images from my 2012 film album ,film on street.

To be honest to myself..leaving aside the images quality etc personally i do like the experience shooting film..
Thank You.

My Camera Collection.

I’ve always had an interest in photography. That’s not to say I fancy myself an excellent photographer, but I do sincerely enjoy taking photos.Because of my interest in photography, I’ve managed to end up with quite a collection of cameras. I suppose it is much in the same way that I’ve collected stamp & magazine.I know most peoples this day are chasing after advance and latest camera model, I however amazed by the beauty of film camera. The classics able to capture wonderful pictures. The film cameras ain't easy to be functioned, and if you master the camera, ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed etc will definitely won't be a problem for you. Anyway, here are my latest two collected film cameras. They are not high end model but still, make a great collection& both cost me just below Ringgit Malaysia (RM100).
