Firefly Airline-Media Fam Trip(part6)Malacca Full Day Tour.
Before I continue writing about our day tour in Malacca let me share something about seating on the airplane and why I am so concern about where I want to seat on the airplane.Airbus A320 vs B737-800,Which is smoother? funny question isn't it...ok,ok now look here the smoother of the two is always the one not in turbulence.Where you seat on the airplane has an effect on how much 'TURBULENCE' you perceive. The further you away your sit from the centre of gravity the greater the moment .The aft section of any airplane is always not the passengers first choice .So if you plan to travel with firefly's I suggest you pre book your seat.
Although the B737s offer all passengers sufficient legroom and ample overhead cabin space, there are selected seats with more legroom and seats that let you disembark faster. To ensure you get to enjoy these Preferred seats, passengers have the option of reserving them when they book their tickets online or purchase their tickets at a sales office for a fee. To enjoy even greater savings of up to 40 percent, opt for a Standard or Premium set of services that include Preferred seat selection.
Let me continue about our fam trip , Malacca full day tour......even on the bus I chose the front seat so I can view the cityscape scenery clearly .
Before heading for lunch we go to Dutch Square and Stadthuys,Muzium Warisan Baba & Nyonya Melaka and Muzium Samudera.
Photo Credit to Justin K C Yap. Dutch Square and Museum Samudera.
Don't tell me if you have been to Malacca and you did not go to this two places Dutch square & Museum Samudera. You will see all the heritage building at Dutch square are red in colour. There are many fascinating tourist spots here in Malacca, aside from the above mentioned. Malacca is a compact town filled with many tourist attractions which delight tourist all over the world.
No photo shot are allowed inside the Museum Warisan Baba & Nyonya Melaka.
The men are known as the 'Babas' and the women 'Nyonyas'. The Babas & Nyonyas are said to be very Chinese in spirit and tradition but Malay in form. They also know as Peranakan the Strait-Born Chinese. They speak Malay mixed with Chinese phrases.I have a chance to join the media to the museum and I can see the beauty and uniqueness of Baba-Nyonya traditional costume, antique furnitures and wood-work art.
But you are allowed to have a photo shot outside the building.
A visit to the house would be an unforgetable experience of a journey back in time.
Lunch @ Indori restaurant. Photo Credit to Justin(Sarawak) and Norfazlin Nor (Melaka).
Every one of us from Sarawak & Sabah enjoy every meal we have.Day one we have Seafood Lunch at Putrajaya and Balinese dinner at Borak Ombak Restaurant in Ampang and day two in Malacca we have Minang food lunch at Indori Restaurant and a taste of Nyonya Heritage dinner at Seroni Restaurant..
After lunch, I was told that we are heading for Museum Kesultanan Melayu Melaka,Bukit St,Paul,Porta De Santiago,Kampung Morten(villa Sentosa) Homestay Kampong Morten ,'Old Town' Harmony Street....
To be continue.......on part7.

www.fireflyz.com.my
I have been travelling not a lot but quite a few time for the past 2 years and have had a chance to see, feel and appreciate or dislike the airline that I travel with.So far,I can say that I'm quite fond of low cost carrier 'Air Asia' and her tag line 'Now everyone can fly'.To be honest I'm always travel with zero fare offer by this carrier and enjoy the smooth flight of Airbus 320 .The wonderful thing about this budget airline is that the arrival/departure terminal is in LCCT(Low Cost Carrier Terminal) and I can take a bus ride to KL Central just for Rm8.00 for one way. This is very good for backpacker like me who carry only my camera & laptop backpack which is less then 10 kg.
To travel overseas maybe many budget Malaysian still prefer AirAsia X.
Firefly’s first Boeing 737-800 arrives in December 2010 and will begin its operations on the 15th of January 2011 from the Main Terminal Building, KLIA.
Next year onward or perhaps some of you have already plan ahead your trip from East to West Malaysia ...Now you have option..Yes,yes.the community airline which is spread its wing and lovely bright orange has decided to show off their newly B737-800.Oh!!! how I wish I'm onboard to photograph this beautiful still bird

Malaysia budget carrier- Healthy Competition.
Today with prices rising, the airlines will not raise prices and instead try to run other companies into the ground by lowering prices. Is this a healthy competition?
AirAsia Bhd was cut to "underperform" from "outperform" at RHB Research Institute Sdn Bhd to reflect a potential price war after Malaysian Airline System Bhd announced plans to expand its Firefly budget carrier unit.
AirAsia's indicative fair value was cut to RM2.10 from RM3.01, RHB said in a report today. -- Bloomberg
B737-800 has 189 seats -. nine more seats than the Airbus 320.
The B737-800 cabin view......
Firefly is FINALLY buzzing its way to Sarawak. To celebrate this new sector, to East Malaysia, they are throwing 50,000 tickets at rm9 per ticket.
Go check it out NOW! FIREFLY OFFER
AirAsia , AirBus A320.....

AirAsia is giving away FREE SEATS yet again!
We know you can't wait to visit AirAsia website to book yours! But hold on - we want to remind you that there are also plenty of low fares to ALL AirAsia destinations, which won't be more than RM 99*!
Try AIR ASIA OFFER
I like Firefly because when you pay one fare price and you will be allowed 20kgs of checked in baggage, 7kgs of hand carry luggage, you may choose your desired seat no, and be served soft drinks and snack on board without any additional charges.
For AirAsia each passenger is permitted to check in bags with a maximum weight of 15 kg. A baggage fee is charged for the carriage of checked baggage, which will be charged at a discounted rate if purchased at time of booking or up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure or at a full rate at the airport check-in counters. Passengers have to pay RM 20 when checked online and RM 30 when checked at the airport.
I wish every one a happy holiday .

AirAsia Malaysia Budget Airline.(Airbus-A320)
Air Asia is free seating flight and I'm lucky to get window seat so try to shoot the Skyscape. The plane flies above most of the clouds, giving me a grandstand view of the world's weather in all its moods.
The aircraft wings are designed to flex up and down in flight, helping to give a smoother ride.I'm seating near the wing ,perfect view.
Built by AirBus Industrie. Entered service 1988. Maximum range 3,600 miles.
At last cheap fares between Kuching (KCH)/KualaLumpur(KUL) and JohorBahru(JHB)/KCH and I managed to get Rm0.00 fare booked online. Thanks to budget airlines Malaysian-based AirAsia, which pioneered regional low-cost travel more than six years ago.
