Monochrome Monday

maket

Few month ago I did an entry about this old fish market which is to be demolish to give way to the modern development.

P7090509

And last week the historical building of the year 1900 will disappear forever.Look like the demolition team is around .

There are a lot's of historical building here but sadly all will disappear. Why and why not they just restore, renovation and beautification of this historical building. They should learn from Melacca historical City & turn its into tourist attraction.

Too late when it is gone.
Your treatment of this one really brings out the atmosphere of destruction. Looks so threatening.

Love views of old places in monochrome! Such a terrible shame that the old fish market has to be demolished!

sad to hear that. these historical structures are priceless and should be protected.

i hope they build something as valuable in that site.

The people in authority are blind. They cannot see the value of the building. Look at Pasar Seni in KL, it was a wet market before. I have been to the fish market in Kuching and I feel for the building.

modernisation? cut all the trees along the Jln Tun Jugah and demolish an over 100 yr old building to make our Kuching more looks like big city? this is call modern? i doubt.
