MyWorld Tuesday-King Tide.Raining and Flood in Kuching.

This is what happen to our beautiful waterfront on Sunday (11/01/2009).King tide at Sungai Sarawak(Sarawak River).Continous rains since Friday(09/01/2009) till Monday morning(02:00hrs).


Continous rains and king tide cause some parts of Kuching City hit by flash flood.King tide peaking at 05:30pm levelling for 6.1 meters.





The king tide at Sarawak River.The small fishing trawllers at rest because it is dangerous for them to go out to the sea due to strong wind and heavy storm as warn by the authority.



This is flood in Kuching City.Despite receving flood alert some people still caught by the flood.The warning read as follow.On Saturday water level was 10.5 meters(5.8m due to tide plus 4.7m flood water.

I've never been in an area that got flooded. I can imagine that is both scary and inconvenient. Be safe.

This kind of thing has been happening in some parts of Indonesia too ... It's the season and the global warming, I suppose.
