The fishing boat jetty at Muara Tebas.
The fishing village and the Malay house can be seen surrounding the temple. It's an amazing things that two different cultures and belief able to co-exist here.
My weekend trip is to suburban of Kuching that is to Muara Tebas.
Muara Tebas is about 40 mins from Kuching City.Traditionally this has been a fishing village as it's short distance from the river mouth and offer shelter to fishing boat during bad weather. The strange about this Malay fishing village is that there is an ancient temple called"Ching San Yen" which was build 200 years ago.The temple sits on top of the hill with Malay kampung(village) resides around the foothill.
Ther are many local seafood restaurants in Muara Tebas .
