These boats locally called"Perahu Tambang" are berthed on the Kuching City waterfront.The boat is fitted with tiny powered propeller engine that makes it glide almost noiselessly through the river.A one way trip cost Rm0.50(50sen) and takes less than 10 minutes to take you cross the Sarawak river.

Our perahu tambang cost RM1.00. What can 0.50 sen do these days ?
