Benak or tidal bore in SriAman.
Roman Catholic Chapel.On my way back to Kuching It was heavy rain so I have to drive slowly & carefully and I was suprise with this white chapel ..so take my camera & shoot.
Well..I have spend this Gawai holiday doing a few things.Basically taking photograph,teh tarik,roti canai,meekolok & jawa session with my wife and a day trip to Sri Aman.
We started our journey around 0630am and we went for breakfast first since breakfast is the most important meal of the day.I drink black coffee premix with tongkat ali(for extra energy)
Small town(Lachau) a must stop for every road travellers either to SriAman,Sarikei,Batang Air,Betong,Sibu ,Bintulu and Miri.So the guy here will welcome you.
Pekan Lachau.Please do not misspell Lachau and don,t ever ever try to add the letter"N" after "La".....so you know what I mean now he..he..!!!!
Sri Aman LandMark ...
Sri Aman is in a division of its own and it is around 190KM away from the City of Kuching.
Pesta Benak:The unique of tidal bore occurs in Batang Lupar(picture above),Pesta Benak(tidal bore carnival) in Sri Aman is one of the yearly activities in the Sarawak.Tidal bore or locally known as Benak occurs everyday with different wave lengths and heights.The Benak continue it's journey another 30KM inland and ending near the small village of Engkilili.

Sri Aman Division formely known as "Simanggang" or Second Division,was establised on the 1st of June 1873.The name Sri Aman was taken from the historic event of the "Deklarasi Sri Aman"or"Peace Declaration"which was signed on the 21st of Oct 1973 between the government and the communist members.The change of names was officiated in March 1974.

3 stars hotels is not a problem here in Sri Aman.
Historical site in SriAman .
I did not see any police traffic in Sri Aman.So people just drive in and out of the No entry or No parking area.
Vegetable & wet market.Price are not negotiable. So I'm back home in pieces after 3 plus 3 hours driving Kuching-Sri Aman-Kuching.
Road condition ask the Sarawak Government...don't ask me.
Who's to blame The Driver or Road Condition.???????.

Whoa, you had one heck of a day, didn't you? Good for you. Although that 3 hours driving and another 3 on the way home sounds rather strenuous, I guess as long as you enjoyed, that cool :)

Thanks for the visit & tip.Ya..stretch Denim look cool(Pak Zawi punya bukan copy right control kah..nanti kena saman pulak he..he!!!)That 6 hrs driving jika kat Semananjung Express way ok lah...but not in Sarawak.
