LAST DAY OF RAMADAN (2007)

To day is last day of Ramadan and tomorrow is Hari Raya.

Feel quite bored today so I decided to go to Satok one of the popular place for Raya shoppers and you can see people are rushing for chicken ,beef ,lemang and kalupis.

What is lemang and kalupis? both is traditional way of cooking glutinous rice(beras pulut).Lemang cooked in hallowed bamboo stick and kalupis cooked wrapped with daun nipah (palm leaves).Lemang and kalupis is a special dish during Hari Raya and go with beef or chicken curry and beef rendang.

My favourite lemang is from Mak chik who all year long selling lemang at Gambier Street.My favourite curry is from Hj Saat cury paste sale curry almost 50 ++++years.

Today I cover only Satok area and you can see people are rushing for last hour shopping.If you are lucky you can get 50 to 60 % discount for blue jean and t-shirt even cakes and biscuit you can get good price.
