Few month ago I did an entry about this old fish market which is to be demolish to give way to the modern development.
And last week the historical building of the year 1900 will disappear forever.Look like the demolition team is around .
There are a lot's of historical building here but sadly all will disappear. Why and why not they just restore, renovation and beautification of this historical building. They should learn from Melacca historical City & turn its into tourist attraction.

Most of the shop houses here was built in the 40's & 50's.In spite of new development of new township or modern shop houses nearby peoples still prefer to go to this old part of Kuching City.
'I'm not moving' say the vendors here.'I have my own royal customers' &'I have been doing my legal business here for the past 50 years.
My sweet or bitter memory are all here.

Another Kuching heritage Brooke Dockyard soon to be demolished, the plot will be replaced by the new Waterfront Hotel-Said the people.
It almost seems ironic that Brooke Dockyard was formed in the same year as the Titanic sunk, may be an earlier realisation on the Importance of having repair facilities for the white Rajah’s boats.
Records stated that Brooke Dockyard was planned in 1907 at about the same time as the Railway. Excavations commenced in 1907 but was brought to a halt in 1909 when the contractor absconded. Work was finally completed in 1912 and the Dock Declared open by the Ranee Muda on 31st May 1912.
Here is the drawing of new development extend until The Brooke Yard.

On my recent visit to Sibu Town,I find the wooden boats of the 50's and 60's very fascinating and still strong and still as if its is in the 60's.
You can see this kind of boat being moored at the various wharves and jetties along Rajang and Igan River in Sibu. The above picture of the wooden boat moored at the Tua Pek Kong Wharf, this boat plys between Sibu,Kapit,Matu and Daro and other small town of coastal area that linked by road is impossible. This wooden boat mainly carries general cargos.

Next move your turn !!!!!....
Business slow..global crisis..etc,etc.While waiting for customers this two Taukey(Boss) is playing Chinese chess.I shot this photo while walking on the street try to be observational photographer. This is just my photo-mind saw at that instant and decided to capture in the camera.
I did not shot this man by mean of sniper shot with gun..I shot him with my camera..well the story is simple, having had just a little to much to drink the cheap buzz ,this man fell asleep on the garden bench and leaving his van loaded with cargo unattained or maybe thinking what his next move on this global crisis.

MONOCHROME MONDAYMy favourite photo are the one with some blur in them.I think this is why I love the blur picture in black and white. It does show movement,an event and a happening.I like this little bit of movement. For me it shows life and everyday life of city people on the move.
This is one of the old big trees found in the centre of Kuching City. The other one is found in front of Merdeka Palace(5 star hotel).
