Bird eyes view of Kuching City from the civic centre tower.Let me refresh your mind again about my home town Kuching.Kuching is the capital of Sarawak,Malaysia largest state.The residents of Kuching is(pop.580,000 approx).Kuching has unusual name-the word mean "CAT"in Malay.There are a number of stories as to how this name about,but it is unlikely that it has anything to do with cats.Hey....sorry no cat woman ok.......The two more likely explanations are that it derives from the Chinese word"KOCHIN",meaning "HARBOUR",or that it is named after the MATA KUCHING or"CAT EYE"fruits.a close relative of the lychee that grow widely here.
In view of fine weather why not try to take picture of Kuching City from this Civic Centre Tower.

Weather in Kuching to-day is fine & humid so before I procced with my free coverage about the spring shopping mall I decided to stop by Sarawak state Mosque to see what is the activity organised by the Jawatan Kuasa Masjid & JAKIM.

So far no problem with parking space it's just a first day scenario.

The first FOS outlet i went to was at MajuJunction in Kuala Lumpur.So today i see them @The Spring in Kuching.

Since today is Maal Hijrah why not try Arab rice made in Sarawak @The Spring....a bit similar to nasi briyani but sorry no photo allowed.....privacy crowded are having lunch. THE SPRING-first large scale life style shoppng mall in Sarawak.situated just next to fedral office complex and Police HQ.So my friends GOV'T Servant next door ....good lah...after payday easy shopping BUT NOT ON OFFICE HOURS OKKKKK.
You see I'm very excited !!!!this is what Kuching has been needing for a very long time!!Shp preferably th one with well known brand,but myself I don't buy this stuff...I prefer replica watch from Lelong.com.The Spring officially open for public to-day..the day of Awal Muharam of Muslim New Year.Wow!!!!!with much of fanfare was there to witness it all.The official opening of the spring was yesterday(09/01/2008) at 1500hours by some invited big gun,big shot or minister..bla..bla.bla.
